A father and his son were apprehended by the police after the former was reportedly caught impersonating the latter during the ongoing UTME examination.
The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede who disclosed this while on an inspection tour of the UTME centres in Kaduna today Wednesday, April 24, said the 2024 examination is largely well conducted, except for a few cases of impersonation, which became possible because some people now have multiple National Identity Number (NIN).
Prof. Oloyede cautioned that individuals who engaged in cheating during the UTME will face the consequences of their actions, whether immediately or at a later stage. He further reassured that JAMB has implemented improved technologies to effectively detect and prevent examination malpractices.
