Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the under-listed teaching position in Bowen University, Iwo:

1 A. POSITION: Deputy Director, Internal Audit

B. DEPARTMENT: Internal Audit

C. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

i. Possession of a first Degree not less than Second Class Lower in Accounting or other relevant degree(Economics, Finance, Business Administration etc),obtained from Bowen University or other recognized Universities plus NYSC Discharged/Exemption Certificate with evidence of membership of any of the

following Professional Accounting /Audit bodies:

 Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN),

 Association of Certified Corporate Accountants (ACCA),

 Institutes of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW),

 Chartered Institutes of Cost Management Accountants (CICMA)

 Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

 Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA)

 ill be an added advantage.

 Knowledge of IFRS is required

ii. Twelve (12) years cognate experience.

iii. Membership of any of the professional Audit/Accounting bodies is mandatory.

Relevant experience in a tertiary institution shall be an added advantage.

following Professional Accounting /Audit bodies:

 Chartered Institutes of Cost Management Accountants (CICMA)

ii.Possession of a Masters Degree in Accounting or other relevant degree(Economics, Finance, Business Administration), from Bowen University or any other recognized University.

iii. Two (2) years cognate experience

ii. Eight (8) years cognate exposure and possessing the professional qualification of any of the following Accounting bodies: ICAN, ACCA, ICAEW, ACIS, CICMA.

iii. Possession of a Masters degree with seven (7) years cognate exposure in Accounting from Bowen University or any other recognized university plus ICAN Skills examination certificate or proportional qualification from any of the following accounting bodies: ACCA, ICAEW, ACIS and CICMA.

C. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

i. Possession of a first Degree not less than Second Class Lower Division in Accounting or other relevant degree (Economics, Finance, Business

Administration etc), obtained from Bowen University or other recognized University plus NYSC Discharged/Exemption Certificate.

ii. Possession of a Masters Degree in Accounting from Bowen University or any other recognized University plus at least ICAN Foundation professional qualification OR ICAN Skills Examination certificate or professional qualification from any of the following Accounting bodies: ACCA, ICAEW, ACIS and CICMA

iii. Three (3) years cognate experience

C. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

ii. Knowledge of IFRS and evidence of registration with any of the following

Professional Accounting bodies:

2. SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Bowen University runs a unique remuneration package, which is similar to what obtains in other tertiary institutions. The University is a fully residential institution.

Consequently, it is mandatory for the staff of the University to be resident within Iwo or Ogbomosho, as may be applicable.
