To register for UTME/DE, there are two methods for generating your JAMB profile code:
Through SMS and Through USSD.
NOTE; Regardless of the method you choose, the result will be the same, and a charge of N50 would be applied to either process.
*Obtaining JAMB Profile Code via SMS*
For your first-time JAMB Profile Code:
1. Open your messaging app on your Android or Apple device.
2. Create a new message.
3. Fill the message box with: NIN YOUR_NIN to 55019 or 66019.
4. Replace “Your NIN” with your actual National Identification Number. i.e; NIN 22316291031
*Obtaining JAMB Profile Code Through USSD*
You can also acquire your JAMB profile code using USSD. Follow these steps, which are less technical compare to the SMS method:
1. Dial *55019*1*Your NIN#.
2. Ensure the format aligns with the image below;
*NB* : Above Procedures can only be used by 2024 UTME CANDIDATES, registering for JAMB or D.E for the first time .
Profile code can only be generated once; if you’ve generated a profile code to register last year (JAMB/D.E), you can’t reuse the code for another year. Hence, you’re to regenerate another profile code as this will serve as your new registration.
