The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is using this medium to inform the general public about the deceptive Facebook and LinkedIn accounts listed below:

1. https://www.facebook.com/babatunde.kehinde.9237?mibextid=ZbWKwL

2. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552790122667&mibextid=ZbWKwL

4. https://www.linkedin.com/in/olusola-kehinde-657298267?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=android_app

These accounts are currently active on social media, particularly Facebook and LinkedIn.

These accounts feature a false portrayal of the Vice-Chancellor in formal attire and in academic gown which included pictures of family members in the photo album.

These Facebook and LinkedIn pages have been established by an online scammer to defraud unsuspecting individuals. The scammer has been sending friend requests to the public while posing as the Vice-Chancellor, making false promises relating to job opportunities, supply of laptops, and contracts in some cases.

The scammer has engaged in communication using Facebook and LinkedIn messages to deceive the unsuspecting members of the public.

It is crucial the public be aware that FUNAAB, as a responsible government institution, does not conduct recruitment or offer contracts through Facebook, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp.

We urge the public to thoroughly examine all online messages and, if in doubt, seek clarification from the Directorate of Public Relations, FUNAAB.

We, therefore, also call on @Facebook and @Linkedin to put down the pages.
