The Kwara State Government has adjusted the dates for the mid-term break for primary and secondary schools.
Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, the state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, announced this change on Tuesday.
In a statement by the ministry’s Press Secretary, Peter Amogbonjaye, the commissioner stated that the mid-term break, originally scheduled for Thursday, 6th June, and Friday, 7th June 2024, will now take place on Thursday, 13th June, and Friday, 14th June 2024.
The change aims to minimize the public holiday period, allowing students more time for their studies.
The statement also encouraged students to focus on their education, emphasizing its importance as the most valuable legacy parents can leave.
Furthermore, the government reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing the quality of education in the state.
