BEING THE INAUGURAL SPEECH DELIVERED BY ADEOYE ABDULMOJEED O., THE 41st EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT, NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES EDUCATION STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION, ON THIS DAY, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21st, 2024.
Protocols
It is with immense pride and honor that I stand before you as the 41st President of our noble association, the Nigerian Universities Education Students Association (NUESA), not because I am the best man among you, but because you all collectively submitted your will to me – a very huge decision made out of trust. And it is on this premise that we are gathered here.
To start with, I throw my sincere appreciation to the most exalted altar of Struggle – the Mecca and the Jerusalem of all Nigerian Students. The one who has been, the one who is, and the one who is to come, for His unbiased guidance and mercy shown to us to witness this day.
I appreciate the Acting Dean Students’ Affairs Prof ALEX AKANMU and Sub-Dean Students Affairs Dr GARBA who made efforts towards the smooth running of the election process and ensured it went well. The Dean Faculty of Education, Prof L.A YAHAYA, Sub-Dean Faculty of Education Dr KAYODE and the Union Staff Adviser Dr Ridwanullah ONIYE. Their efforts have significantly contributed to this celebration, and I do not take it with levity.
In furtherance, l extend my heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing leadership. Their dedication and hard work have set a high standard, and their efforts have laid a strong foundation upon which we will build. To them, I say: Thank you, I promise to consolidate the progressive principles and bring new order of innovative ideas.
Dear NUESALITES, I am committed to say that my emergence is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the confidence and trust that you have placed in me. And my journey to this position reflects my commitment, vision, and ability to inspire and lead. I will be collaborating with my executive members in embracing the FRESH agenda as promised during my campaign, where we will;

H • Serve Humanity
It is equally important to reiterate that we have a blueprint of ideas and first of its kind Initiatives that will spur our growth and redefine our history for good. Which are, but not limited to:
And the mechanisms for these unique ideas are already in place, and shall be rolled out when the time is right.
Officially, The mantra for this administration shall be “Excelerate-Driven Administration” and our logo shall contain an image that connotes forward-thinking, which defines that we will be quick to design ideas and very fast with implementation. This administration will be swift and will move faster, covering a wider pace for effectiveness.
And on a final note, while I congratulate my co executives, I want you all to remember that leadership is not merely about holding a title; it is about making a difference. It is about being the voice of your peers, addressing their concerns, and working towards their collective growth and success. The path ahead will come with challenges, but it is through these challenges that we grow stronger and wiser. And I implore you to give me your utmost support while we both navigate these challenges in search for worthy and lasting solutions.
As I lead you, remember that my strength lies in listening to you and understanding your needs. Let us all work together, faculty and students alike, to support our initiatives and contribute to the shared goals of enhancing our educational experience.
In closing, as a Leadership Association of over 12,000 NUESALITES, May I seek an open door relationship from the Faculty management, The students affairs units and the University management at large, that our administration is committed to embrace the university’s standards and principles and we’ll be so glad if we can be carried along in decision making of matters that affect NUESALITES directly. We will be the bridge between the management and the students, ensuring that the interests from both ends are equally represented and respected fairly, we promise to give you the necessary information that improves our betterment for good.
Esteemed NUESALITES, let us celebrate this moment as a new beginning. Where each and everyone of us will have a say at the helm, and I am confident that our faculty will continue to thrive, and our collective efforts will bring about positive change and lasting solutions.
