Dear All,
This is to inform the University Community that the Federal Government has declared Monday, 25th and Tuesday, 26th of December, 2023 as well as Monday, 1st January, 2024 as public holidays to celebrate Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year, respectively.
The current Academic Calendar has also been slightly modified. Accordingly, the mid semester break will now be between Saturday 23rd December 2023 and Friday 5th January 2024.
Academic and other activities will resume on Monday, 8th January 2024.
In view of this, all Staff and students are directed to observe the holidays.
It is important to note that Staff on essential services are to be at their duty posts, while the University will consider giving days off as appropriate.
While wishing the University Community, especially the Christian faithfuls, a happy Christmas and New Year celebrations the Management urged all
to pray for peace and continued growth and development of our great University, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
