On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, signed into law the National Anthem Bill 2024, which restores the old national anthem “Nigeria, we hail thee.
In light of this development, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, has directed that the old national anthem “Nigeria, we hail thee” should henceforth be adopted and used at all official university functions and events.
