UNILORIN FIRST CLASS STUDENT, OLAJIRE WINS NYSC 500K GRANT
A first class student of department of fishery and aquaculture, faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin, Olajire Sheriff won a grant of five hundred naira at the ongoing National Youth Service Corp orientation camp.
Olajire Sherif is the current National President of Federation of Ikirun Students Union (FIKSU) who is carrying out his 21 days NYSC orientation programme in Ede, Osun state.
Our correspondent gathered that the Grant was sponsored by Unity Bank brach of Osun state and was presented to him today, Friday 17th of November 2023 in a programme tagged “Corpreneurship Challenge”.
The Programme which marked the closing ceremony of the in-camp skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development, SAED training.
Our source gathered that, Olajire Sheriff emerged first position among his other participants after presenting his business proposal on fish farming. Recall that Sheriff was a graduate of department of aquaculture and fishery from University of Ilorin. The proposal that was well presented and well defended by him make him emerged the first position.
Two other Corp members were also presented grant of three hundred thousand naira, two hundred thousand naira respectively as the first and second runner up in the programme.
Other participants from the first 10 were also presented gift by the sponsors of the programme, Unity Bank.
Olajire Sheriff while talking with our correspondent appreciate the the NYSC and the sponsor of the grant for giving me the opportunity and finding me worthy of this grant among all other contestants. He reiterates that, the grant will be used as stated in his proposal.
