The management of the University of Ilorin has issued a disclaimer to the public about the trending online post inviting the public to participate in free online courses offered by the institution.
In a statement released by the institution today 16th of April , 2024 which was signed by the Director of Corporate affairs , Kunle Akogun, states that, “Our attention has been drawn to a trending online post inviting members of the public to a phantom “Free online courses” to be run by the University.”
He continued that, “We want to state unequivocally that the University of Ilorin does not know anything about the so-called online courses. ”
It was stated that the post was sponsored by a certain Hosain’s Online Service, and is definitely another handiwork of scammers bent on fleecing unsuspecting members of the public. It should, therefore, be ignored.
So, the institution advised all the general public to kindly ignore the advert.
